About

Built to manage property the way a neighbor would.

SCV Hometown Property Management was started right here in the Santa Clarita Valley, with one idea: owners and tenants both deserve a management company that actually picks up the phone. That same approach now reaches down the coast to Ventura, Oxnard, Carpinteria, and Santa Barbara.

Founder

Hi, I'm Ben.

I started SCV Hometown because too many rental owners in this valley were stuck choosing between managing a property themselves or handing it off to a company that treats every home like a file number. I wanted something in between — real local knowledge, straightforward communication, and someone who actually answers when you call. We've since grown to serve owners along the coast in Ventura, Oxnard, Carpinteria, and Santa Barbara, without losing that hometown approach.

I've lived in the Santa Clarita Valley since 1974 — over 50 years now — so this is home, not just a service area. Before SCV Hometown, I spent more than 30 years as a producer and studio executive in the entertainment industry, running production facilities and managing budgets, teams, and client relationships at a high level. I'm also a co-owner of Thermal Horizons Yoga and Wellness Center right here in the valley.

Whether you own one rental or a few, my goal is simple: protect the property, keep good tenants in it, and make sure you always know what's going on with your investment.

How we work

A few things we hold ourselves to.

  • Straight answers. If a repair is going to be expensive or a tenant issue is going to take time, you'll hear that plainly — not after the fact.
  • Local first. We work with vendors and contractors based in the communities we serve, not a dispatch line in another state.
  • Respect for tenants. A well-treated tenant stays longer and takes better care of the home — good management works for both sides.
  • Your property, your decisions. We advise and execute; you stay in control of the big calls.

Let's talk about your property.

A quick email is all it takes to get started.
